June Calendar

Cub Scout Leader Round Table, Thurs. June 14th, 7:00 PM at our Stake Center.

Pack Meeting, Wed. June 20, 7:00 PM at the Pavilion behind the Church.  Please bring an empty 2 liter bottle for each person who wants to shoot off 2 liter bottle rockets.

We have dates for Cub Scout Day Camp and Webelos Day Camp.

Webelos Day Camp will be Thurs, June 28 from 2:30 to 7:30 PM. We will leave at about 1:30 PM and be back about 8:30 PM. Each boy will need to bring a sack lunch and please wear a Class B uniform.

Cub Scout Day Camp will be Weds., July 11, from 7:45 AM to 1:00 PM. They will leave the church at about 6:45 AM and be back about 2:00 PM. Each boy will need to bring a sack lunch and please wear a Class B uniform.

Every boy and leader is required to have a Scout physical form A & B filled out and taken to camp with them. If you haven't filled out this form and gotten it to me or to your boys Den Leader, he will not be allowed to go to Camp. No physical is required, just the form filled out.

To find out more about Day camp go to http://www.utahscouts.org/openrosters/vieworgpagelink.asp?orgkey=290&linkkey=33436. Where the programs are explained. Have a great month and hope to see you at Pack Meeting.

A class B uniform is a T-shirt which has a Cub Scout emblem.  If you have one from the past that still fits, use it.  Other wise you provide the t-shirt and we provide the emblem.  Contact your Cubs Den Leader.

Another thing that will be fun at day camp is the chance to duel with staff members (adult staff too). No, we won't be doing it with weapons but rather knots. Each of the staff members will have ropes (in their holsters) ready to duel. A youth can challenge a staff member to a duel using 1 of 4 knots:
  • Overhand
  • Slip
  • Square
  • Bowline
If youwin the duel you will be given a ticket you can turn in at the trading post for a piece of candy. So practice those knots!! Come to camp ready to challenge a member of the staff to a showdown. It's going to be fun!!
