August Pack Meeting

Pack Meeting was lots of fun. Good food, good games great Cubs earning great awards. The only thing I forgot was my camera. So no pictures, sorry. Robert and Andrew received their Arrow of Light rank. Neal received his Bear and Jacob received his Wolf. Four very active wonderful young men. I feel bad about no pictures. I will do better next time.

September's Pack Meeting has a Parent's Meeting attached to it. Also, we will be showing the Youth Protection Video after Pack Meeting. We will not show the video to any child without a parent/guardian in attendance with them. If the kids have questions, we want the kids to ask their Parent/guardian rather than us. That way, you as a parent have more control over what answers are given and how they are given to the children.

I have watched this DVD and it is very well done. It will help a child recognize the rules that can protect them from bad situations. If you would like to preview the DVD or show it to your children on your own, we have a 24 hour check out, just contact me.

Cub Scout Day Camp

Well here we are, safe and sound, back from Cub Scout Day Camp. It proved to be a very fun and exciting time.
We played with a suspension which is a substance which has the properties of both a solid and a liquid. Yuck!
Then we rescued space objects after they had splashed down.
Then we practiced space ballistics.

Played games

and shot bows and arrows

Then we made and blasted off rockets.

Last, but not least, we made model airplanes. Parents be warned the boys may want to paint their models. That's a home project.

Here we are just before we came home. We were happy yet very tired. I don't know what extra details your Cub will share with you, but we have over 80 pictures on my hard drive. I you want to come and look at the lot of them, I will email the ones you want to you!

Junes Calendar

Hello everyone,

Here is our Calendar for June:

Cub Scout Leader Roundtable: Is always the 2nd Thursday of the month (with the exception of July when there isn't any) So this month it is June 10th at 7:00 PM at the Stake Center.

Pack Meeting is The 3rd Thursday of the Month so this month it will be June 17th at 7:00 PM at the Church. The theme this month is "Hoop-de-Doo" and we have some fun activities planned. So Cubs bring your families and lets have a "Hoop-de-Doo" full of fun.

Cub Scout Day Camp is Wednesday, June 30th, at Camp Jeremiah Johnson, up Hobble Creek Canyon, (outside Springville). We will need to leave not later than 6:50 AM. We are meeting at the Church At 6:30 AM. The boys will need to wear Class B uniforms (if they have a T-shirt from last years Day Camp, that will work). If they wear their Uniform shirt, do not wear a neckerchief or slide. Bring a lunch, and I will provide an ice chest to keep them fresh. Any questions? Contact me.

The Dens meetings will be held at the time determined by the Den Leaders.

Cub Scouting is FUN! So KISMIF (Keep It Simple, Make It Fun).
