December Calendar

Merry Christmas!

Round Table will be Thur. Dec 8th at 7:00 PM at the Stake Center.  Remember that it is always the 2nd Thurs. of each month.

We will not be having a Pack Meeting this month.  Instead, on Tues. Dec.13th, the Cub Scouts and their leaders will meet at the Church, at 4:00 PM for a fun Service project.  It will last about 1 hour.  After that Cub Scouts will take a holiday and start up again, once School starts again in January. 

Just a reminder that January's Pack Meeting will be the Pinewood Derby.  Help you Cub create his car over Christmas Break.  I will let you know as soon as I know what day and time the Derby will take place.  If you Cub hasn't received his car kit, contact his Den Leader.

November Calender

Welcome to fall and the wonderful start of the Holidays!

Round Table for Cub Scout Leaders:  Thurs. Nov. 10th at 7:00 PM at the Stake Center

Pack Meeting:  Tuesday, Nov. 15th, at 7:00 PM at the Chapel.  Theme is "Abracadabra".  Each Cub Scout should be working on a magic trick for our Pack Magic Show!  If any of you parents can do a magic trick, bring it and show off your skill!

October Pack Meeting!

I think I have discovered the answer on how to get pictures for this blog.  I just put my camera out on the table where anyone could get at it and people would take pictures and then put it back!  Hurray!!!!  This Pack Meeting we had 6 rank advancements:  1 Bobcat, 3 Wolves, and 2 Bears!!! Then we had Story time with stories read my our Pack Leaders!  It went great.  Here are some pictures:

October's Calendar

Welcome to October, we are working on getting the spiders on the house, will get them up, well before Halloween!
Round Table for Cub Scout Leaders,  Thursday, Oct. 13th, 7:00 PM at the Stake Center.

Pack Meeting for Cub Scouts and their Families,  Tues., October 18th, 7:00 PM at the Church Cultural Hall.  The theme is "Adventures in Reading".  If you have a children's short story you would like to share that evening, we would love to hear from you!

September Calendar

Welcome to September.  School had started and the nights are getting cooler while the days are still HOT!  Here are our Pack plans for September.

Thur. Sept. 8th, Round Table Leader Training @ 7:00 PM at the Central Stake Center.  This is an opportunity to learn things to help us with our dens and pack.

Tues. September 20th, at 7:00 PM is Pack Meeting.  While the boys are learning about fire safety, we will be holding a Parents Meeting.  This meeting will give the Den Leaders a chance to let the Parents know what the plans are for this year and what will be expected of the parents and the Cubs.  We would greatly appreciate it if each boy in our Pack had at least one parent in attendance for this meeting.

We will be handing out a years calendar for Round Table and Pack Meetings.  We will let you know of any changes, as soon as we have info about any changes.  That is what this blog is all about, letting you know on the pack level, what is happening, when and where.

We would like to say:  WELCOME!!!! to Barbie Jones who is the new Assistant Webelos Den Leader.  Barbie is excited and a little nervous.  Please extent a big welcome to her.

August Calendar

Say good bye to the soggy month of July and hello to August!  We are so glad to have you and your son involved in Cub Scouting.
Welcome, welcome to our two new Wolf Den Leaders:  Krissy Shields and Wendy Knight.

Round Table for Adult Cub Scout Leaders. We learn good ways to help put on the Cub Scout Program for our boys, we expect the Adult Cub Scout leaders to attend.  Thursday, August 11th, 7:00 PM at the Central Stake Center.

Pack Meeting: Tuesday, Aug. 16th at 6:30 PM.  We will be having a family BBQ at the pavilion out behind the church.  Here are the food assignments:

      Each Wolf family bring a salad to share.

            Each Bear Family will bring a dessert to share.
            Each Webelos family will bring a bag of chips to share.

As you bring your contribution, be aware that this BBQ usually has 70+ people in attendance.

The Pack will provide:  Hot dogs, buns and condiments.  Our budget was cut drastically this year so we can't afford hamburgers.  I found some good quality, tasty, and not so expensive hot dogs and buns that fit in our new budget.  We are excited to let boys who need to "cook" something to pass a requirement, to be chiefs and cook the hot dogs on a grill, for the rest of us.  We will provide paper goods and water to drink.

Everyone had a great time at Cub Scout Day Camp.  We will look forward to that next summer.  If I go next year we will have pictures.

July's Calendar

Welcome to July.

There is no Round Table this month.  We never have Round Table in July.

Pack Meeting is July 19, at 7:00 PM at Cub Master Devey's house.  It will be a flag retiring ceremony.  We look forward to seeing you there.

Because of a downpour, Cub Scout Day Camp has been rescheduled for Mon. July 18th.  Same plans, etc as last time.  We will pray for clear skies this time.

I am still on pretty strong pain killers and I am not allowed to drive yet, so for me, this month is a wash.  Hope to see you all in August.
