Cub Scout Day Camp

Well here we are, safe and sound, back from Cub Scout Day Camp. It proved to be a very fun and exciting time.
We played with a suspension which is a substance which has the properties of both a solid and a liquid. Yuck!
Then we rescued space objects after they had splashed down.
Then we practiced space ballistics.

Played games

and shot bows and arrows

Then we made and blasted off rockets.

Last, but not least, we made model airplanes. Parents be warned the boys may want to paint their models. That's a home project.

Here we are just before we came home. We were happy yet very tired. I don't know what extra details your Cub will share with you, but we have over 80 pictures on my hard drive. I you want to come and look at the lot of them, I will email the ones you want to you!

June's Pack Meeting

Last night was Pack Meeting and we had a "Hoop-de-doo" time with hula hoops. Now I have never gotten one of those things to work. Yet here are Lori, Michael and Shae doing a pretty good job. It was lots of fun. We missed those who didn't make it!
Advanced notice on future Pack Meetings:
July's Pack Meeting will be a Flag retiring Ceremony.
August we will be having a family pick nick and doing some Geo cashing. We need a couple of more hand held GPS systems for that.
September will be the Parent's meeting. After the Pack Meeting we will be showing the Youth Protection Video, "It Happened to Me". No children will be allowed to see the video with out a parent/adult in attendance with them. You may contact me it you want to check out the video and view it before hand.
We are planning a great summer of fun!
Have a great month!
Oh, remember, Cub Scout Day Camp is Wed., June 30th. Meet at the church at 6:30 AM. We will leave at 6:50AM.

Junes Calendar

Hello everyone,

Here is our Calendar for June:

Cub Scout Leader Roundtable: Is always the 2nd Thursday of the month (with the exception of July when there isn't any) So this month it is June 10th at 7:00 PM at the Stake Center.

Pack Meeting is The 3rd Thursday of the Month so this month it will be June 17th at 7:00 PM at the Church. The theme this month is "Hoop-de-Doo" and we have some fun activities planned. So Cubs bring your families and lets have a "Hoop-de-Doo" full of fun.

Cub Scout Day Camp is Wednesday, June 30th, at Camp Jeremiah Johnson, up Hobble Creek Canyon, (outside Springville). We will need to leave not later than 6:50 AM. We are meeting at the Church At 6:30 AM. The boys will need to wear Class B uniforms (if they have a T-shirt from last years Day Camp, that will work). If they wear their Uniform shirt, do not wear a neckerchief or slide. Bring a lunch, and I will provide an ice chest to keep them fresh. Any questions? Contact me.

The Dens meetings will be held at the time determined by the Den Leaders.

Cub Scouting is FUN! So KISMIF (Keep It Simple, Make It Fun).
